Dr. Luikenaar treats many patients who are on the path to feminize their appearance and body, and offers hormone therapies which follow the WPATH protocols. She is active in educating other health providers and institutions regarding transgender health and treatment options.
A typical first visit with Dr. Luikenaar will include discussion about your own personal treatment options, and she may order labs and other tests as necessary for your own path. As an experienced physician, she will work with you to understand your own personal needs toward transition, however, you define that.
As of 2017, Dr. Luikenaar has treated over 2,500 transgender and gender non-conforming patients.
