We have a contract with the VA (Veterans Affairs) for electrolysis hair removal for gender affirming vaginoplasty. Please ask the VA for a referral and a referral number before you book your first appointment. We do not accept health insurance for electrolysis.

We offer lidocaine injections to make electrolysis more comfortable. We also prescribe lidocaine cream for our patients at Rebirth Health Center.

Electrolysis is the only form of permanent hair removal. Jennifer and Maggie insert a thin wire into the hair follicle under the surface of the skin, and an electric current destroys the hair root. The follicle damage prevents hair from growing and causes the existing hair to fall out. Electrolysis has been around for over 100 years. It is the only FDA-approved method for permanent hair removal.

Electrolysis can treat most areas of the body, including the back, bikini line, thighs, lower legs, chest, breasts, abdomen, face, and underarms. Treatment time varies and may range from typically 30 to 120 minutes per visit. The number of treatments you need depends on the area being treated.

Because hair grows in cycles, you may need several treatments to get the smooth results you are looking for. Maggie and Jen provide a treatment plan when you get started so you have an idea of what to expect and can plan accordingly.

Electrolysis services are $85 an hour. Lidocaine injections are $35 and last 1-2 hours.
